Completed CSEM acquisition

Rocksource ASA (Rocksource) is pleased to announce that it has acquired a CSEM (Controlled Source Electromagnetic) survey over the Craigellachie prospect in PL 515 (parts of blocks 6508/ 1 & 2) on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The license is operated by Rocksource (60%) on behalf of partners Lotos E&P Norge (20%) and Skagen 44 (20%). The license is located on the Nordland Ridge on the rim of the Helgeland Basin, east of the Norne Field. The primary prospect is estimated to contain mean un-risked resources of 140 million barrels of oil equivalent.

The CSEM acquisition is part of the firm work programme. The data will now be processed and interpreted and the results will be integrated with other geological and geophysical data to support the decision to move on to the next phase of exploration.

Chief Operating Officer, Gregor Maxwell, states: "The survey was completed on schedule, within budget and with no HSE incidents. A positive result from the analysis of the data will be very encouraging and enable the partnership to accelerate the drill or drop decision. We believe that screening prospects with CSEM is an efficient strategy for generating high quality drillable prospects".
