Exploration update – AGC Profond and CY-DWN-2001/1

AGC Profond:
Reference is made to stock exchange notice 8 September 2008 where Rocksource ASA (“Rocksource”) announced a farm-in agreement with Ophir Energy plc (“Ophir”), allowing Rocksource to complete a staged entry into the AGC Profond Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”). In accordance with the PSC, a decision to enter the next exploration phase has to be made by the end of July. The Rocksource decision process governing a potential entry into the PSC will coincide with the PSC exploration decision.

CY-DWN-2001/1:
With regards to Rocksource participation on block CY-DWN-2001/1 in India, the company is waiting for notification from the operator ONGC of the timing of the upcoming Operational and Management meetings expected in July.
