NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Trygve Pedersen, Vice President Commercial and Deputy CEO of Rocksource, will assume the role of acting CEO from 1 February 2006. Martin Bekkeheien has expressed a wish to step down due to health reasons, but wants to be available for project-and advisory work and plans to take on such a position in the near future. Arve Johnsen, Chairman of The Board, states that the company has had great benefit from Bekkeheien`s energy and broad experience, and that continued access to such a resourceful person is important for the company.
Trygve Pedersen is 40 years old and has 14 years of experience from the oil and gas industry and has been in management positions in Statoil, BP and Petoro. He has several years of international experience from working in London (Commercial Manager, Statoil UK) and Caracas (Commercial Manager Statoil Venezuela). Norwegian Continental Shelf experience includes positions as Commercial Manager in BP, and Asset Manager in Petoro with responsibility for follow- up of several fields including the Troll field. He has been employed in Rocksource since 1.12.2005 as VP Commercial.
