Rocksource begin CSEM acquisition on Norwegian License
E.ON Ruhrgas Norge as operator of PL 416 has, on behalf of the partnership, entered into a contract with EMGS to undertake a Controlled Source ElectroMagnetic (CSEM) survey on the license located in block 31/8 (south of the Troll Field) of the North Sea. The plan is to commence the survey 22 June and the survey is estimated to take one week. The vessel to be used is Stad Angler. The CSEM survey is a part of the work program of the license. Rocksource will contribute to the partnership by applying its proprietary technology to handle the electromagnetic data.
Rocksource holds 35% of the license interest. Partners are E.ON Ruhrgas (operator) with 50% and Aker Exploration with 15%. The license was awarded as part of APA 2006.
