Rocksource chairman steps down, takes on position as senior advisor for the company

Chairman of the Board and one of the founders of Rocksource ASA, Dag Dvergsten, has elected to step down from the Board to focus on his position as a senior advisor for the company.

Dag Dvergsten has for many years been a driving force in exploring strategic opportunities for the company. Mr. Dvergsten has expressed a wish to focus entirely on this role going forward. As a consequence, following consultations with the Board, Mr. Dvergsten has decided to step down from the Board in accordance with good corporate governance.

Dag Dvergsten commented on his decision: “Rocksource is picking up speed and 2010 will mark a step change in activity. At the same time our ambitious growth strategy remains in place. As a consequence, I have expressed a wish to take on a more operational position, and I am very much looking forward to focusing my efforts towards exploring strategic opportunities for the company.”

Vice-Chairman Mimi Berdal, with long experience from the Board of Rocksource, will replace Mr. Dvergsten with effect from 24 August until a new Chairman has been elected by the general meeting.
