SHELL PARTICIPATES IN EM-PROJECT
Shell International E&P has joined the industry project where Rocksource, Statoil and Interaction are existing members. The purpose of the project is to develop software solutions to handle electromagnetic `EM` data for hydrocarbon detection. The software company Interaction will be responsible for developing the software platform. `
Both Shell and Statoil have very good peopleworking with EM technology development. We are pleased to see that Shell is now joining the consortium. Together, I believe that we can help the establishment of the next generation of software and work processes for optimal use of EM data` says Chief Technology Officer of Rocksource, Jonny Hesthammer. The companies articipating in the joint industry project do not have common commercial goals apart from the development of a better software solution for their respective E&P activities.
