Technology with a game changing potential
A technology-dependent sector like the offshore industry may over time produce new, so-called disruptive, technologies that pave the way for completely new opportunities. The changes in technology may be due to new research and knowledge or, just as often, to entirely new combinations of knowledge.
Rocksource is a result of such a meeting between different professional fields. We have developed analysis tools and methodology that combine traditional and new search methods such as seismology and electromagnetic imaging in the same 3D interface. At the same time, we have developed in-depth expertise in a number of fields that makes it possible to understand the information along several axes.
In combination, this provides a considerably better understanding of the conditions on the seabed, more certain analyses and thus considerably less risk, lower costs and increased resource utilisation when exploring for and producing oil offshore.
