This license is in the southern part of the North Sea and lies in the vicinity of the existing PL441. The license group consists of:

Det norske Oljeselskap AS, 40%
Rocksource ASA, 20%.
Prospects have been mapped at multiple levels, these include both structural and stratigraphic traps. Electromagnetic data have already been acquired over one of the main prospects and EM anomalies were found within it. These data are currently being assessed in detail.
The work program comprises an initial period of 6 years, divided into three phases:
A minimum of 400 km2 of 3D seismic will be acquired. After three years a decision to drill or relinquish the license will be made.
After the first well has been drilled a decision to relinquish or continue will be made.
Submit PDO or relinquish.
The license has awarded a contract to acquire 3D seismic to fulfill the Phase 1 work programme. Acquisition is expected to begin in late Q2 2009 and seismic products are expected to be available in early 2010. At that time, the block prospectivity with then be re-evaluated with the new data set.
